That’s because it’s set to explicit, a setting that was locked after the great purge:

If you right-click on that toggle and click “inspect element”, you can change that.
Notice how the input tag has a disabled attribute? Just remove that whole thing:
The toggle is now active
And toggleable
And now, after a quick refresh, my old (crap, but real) icon and header image are back, and the blog is no longer treated as hidden or explicit.
The goggle also disappears after the refresh, but it’s worth noting that you can also edit the toggle back into the settings panel and change your blog back to explicit if you so desire.
This is a perfect example of the laziness of tumblr’s devs. They haven’t removed the functionality, they’ve just kinda-sorta hidden it a bit; the end-point that the explicit toggle hits is still there.

Don’t spread misinformation just to fit a narrative, Clinton is advocating for there to be a cap on who gets free college so that the government doesn’t have to subsidize the education of people with enough disposable income to pay for it themselves. The plan she’s proposing would have a better chance of being passed, is more cost-effective, and still opens up higher education to low-income individuals who previously couldn’t afford it.

Yeah. An enormous number of racists, misogynists, homophobes and transphobes I’ve met eventually whip out something about evolutionary biology and they never, ever, ever, ever have the slightest shadow of even a half-right idea what any of it means or ever cite a claim ever actually made by a scientific study.
Here’s a quick handy reference list or anyone who isn’t sure:
Homosexuality does exist in almost all social species.
“Alpha males” are not a real phenomenon and in fact the most aggressive males tend to be the least reproductively successful.
“Survival of the fittest” simply means that the success of a species hinges on how well it “fits” its environment. It does not mean that stronger or smarter individuals are supposed to succeed. Those things can even be a detriment in nature by wasting too many resources.
“Race” is not a biological concept. Someone who looks different from you has the same human genes, just a different grab-bag of dominant traits.
Evolution is not a march towards higher complexity, more intelligence or even more adaptability. It’s just a fluctuation of characteristics dictated by environmental pressures and mutation. A slime mold isn’t “less evolved” than a hawk, just adapted for success under different parameters.
People didn’t evolve “from apes.” It’s more complicated than that. We are a category of ape, sharing a common ancestor with the other apes.
No human on Earth is “closer” to an evolutionary ancestor than any other. We all descended from the same one.
Neanderthals were also a “sibling” species of ours. We didn’t evolve from them.
Some of us did, however, cross-breed with Neandethal man. It is exclusively non-African races, such as white people, who still carry hybrid human/Neanderthal genes. Whoops, sorry “white purity” skinheads, you’re actually mixed with a whole other species.

if your child’s heart is hurting because they know no matter what they do and how hard they try they will always be a failure in your eyes, you are an abuser.
if your child can’t look at themselves without self hatred because they had to look at themselves from your perspective and all they saw is disgust and hatred, you’re an abuser.
If your child is struggling to believe they have the right to live and to be cared and loved, if they can’t stop hearing your hateful voice putting them down and using their every action to prove they’re worthless, you’re an abuser.
If you watched your child in pain and assured them they deserved it, you’re an abuser.
If your child can’t love themselves from how badly you hated them, you’re an abuser.

It’s okay to change yourself in order to heal. It’s uncomfortable to change old habits and coping mechanisms bc they felt safe. It feels weird to change negative thoughts into self love and optimism bc you truly believed them. The transition can make u feel lost, but you will adapt. It’s worth it in the end, both for your heart and your body.
Characteristics of an emotionally abusive relationship include:
• Using money as a means of control
• Threatening to walk out or abandon you
• Creating fear through looks, words, threats and actions
• Destroying things (and often things you value) – either in a cold and heatless way, or in an angry outburst or fit of rage
• Using blaming, shaming, minimizing and denial to control you
• Verbally attacking and demeaning you (includes name calling, shouting at you, criticising and putting you down – especially in public)
• Attacking and putting you down in private, and acting loving and charming in public
• Minimising the abuse; acting as if you’re over-reacting and it’s “no big deal”
• Deliberately withholding approval, affirmation, affection and as a means of punishment or control
The effects of living with emotional abuse include:
• A fear of being natural and spontaneous
• A loss of enthusiasm or their old joie de vive
• Insecurity related to how they coming across to others
• An inner belief that they are deeply flawed
• A loss of self-confidence and self esteem
• Growing self-doubt (so they’re afraid to make even the smallest decision, or to take on even the simplest of tasks)
• Never trusting their own judgments (as they believe that they misunderstand or misread everything)
• Having a constant critic in their head
• Feeling they should be happier and more upbeat than they are (in order to meet the approval of others)
• Feeling they’re too sensitive, and ought to “toughen up”
• Fearing they’re going crazy, or losing their mind
• A tendency to live in the future (“Everything will be OK when/after ….”)
• A desire to break free, escape or run away
• A distrust and fear of entering into any close relationships again.
